Course context for academic year 2023-24
La asignatura Astrofísica Fundamental en el grado de Física tiene por objeto que el alumnado adquiera cierta base en los principios de la Astrofísica y la Cosmología. Se utilizarán principalmente conocimientos matemáticos y físicos que el alumnado ha aprendido en las asignaturas ya cursadas. Para abordar ciertos temas, se introducirán algunos conceptos nuevos, de una forma intuitiva. La mayor parte de estos conceptos se exponen formalmente en asignaturas de cuarto curso.
La asignatura aborda una temática muy amplia, que va desde las Ciencias Planetarias a la Cosmología, pasando por el estudio del Sol y la Astrofísica Estelar, así como rudimentos de la teoría de las galaxias y las bases físicas de la instrumentación astrofísica. Dada la extensión de los temas a tocar, se presentarán de manera somera, como corresponde a una asignatura de "fundamentos". Se hará hincapié en la habilidad para aislar las ideas más importantes y la capacidad de síntesis.

- CE5 : Ability to design experiments in the laboratory, to measure and analyze critically experimental results, to draw conclusions and to evaluate the level of uncertainty.
- CE9 : Being able to model complex phenomena translating physical problems into mathematical language.
