Course context for academic year 2020-21
Esta asignatura centra su objeto de trabajo y de estudio en las distintas alternativas de tratamiento dietético que el profesional de nutrición puede elaborar en una situación concreta de patología en un centro de atención especializada y/o primaria. Focaliza el estudio de las necesidades nutricionales de los pacientes teniendo en cuenta los déficits y limitaciones a causa de la patología que se trate.
Las prácticas se realizan en Centros de Atención Especializada, donde el alumno irá adquiriendo habilidades en el trabajo clínico así como madurando la interrelación con los distintos miembros del equipo de salud, y atención primaria, en las consultas de pacientes con patología crónica.
En el contexto del plan de estudios, esta asignatura es el complemento práctico de las asignaturas que versan sobre las circunstancias patológicas.

- CG42 : Understand hospital organisation and various stages of the food service.
- CG43 : Participate in the multidisciplinary team of a Hospital Nutrition Unit.
- CG44 : Understand the different techniques and products used for basic and advanced nutritional support.
- CG45 : Develop and implement dietetic-nutritional transition plans.
- CG46 : Plan and implement dietetic-nutritional education programmes with sick and healthy subjects.
- CG48 : Master the basic ITC tools used in the field of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics.
- CG50 : Prescribe specific treatment corresponding to the area of competence of the dietetist-nutritionist.
- CG51 : Be able to demonstrate the scientific principles underpinning the intervention of the dietetist-/nutritionist, with their professional activity conditional on the scientific evidence.
- CG54 : Design and carry out nutritional assessments to identify the diet and nutrition needs of the population, as well as identifying the determining factors of nutritional health.
- CG55 : Design, intervene in and implement diet-nutrition education and diet-nutrition training programmes.
- CG56 : Collaborate with planning diet-nutrition policies for dietary-nutritional education of the general public.

Specific Competences
- E13 : Understand, evaluate critically and know how to use sources of information related to nutrition, diet, lifestyles and health care factors.
- E14 : Capacity to write reports and complete records involved in the professional work of a Dietetist-Nutritionist.
- E15 : Understand the essential elements of the profession of a Dietetist-Nutritionist and carry out one's profession respecting other health care professionals.
- E43 : Adquirir les habilitats pertinents per a treballar en equip com a unitat en les quals s'estructura de forma uni o multidisciplinària els professionals i altre personal, relacionats amb l'avaluació diagnòstica i tractaments en Dietètica i Nutrició.
- E45 : Conèixer que canals de comunicació interna o externa, han d'implantar-se en tota organització perquè el Servei de Nutrició aconseguisca l'objectiu que tots els professionals coneguen els seus projectes.
- E56 : Ser capaç de participar en activitats de promoció de la salut i prevenció de trastorns i malalties relacionades amb la nutrició i els estils de vida, duent a terme l'educació alimentària-nutricional de la població.
- E57 : Proporcionar la formació higienicosanitària i dietètic-nutricional adequada al personal implicat en el servei de restauració.
- E58 : Desenvolupar la professió amb respecte a altres professionals de la salut, adquirint habilitats per a treballar en equip.
- E59 : Desenvolupar les habilitats personals necessàries per a realitzar intervencions d'educació nutricional de manera òptima.
