a) Comprender los principales procesos que han marcado la Historia de Estados Unidos desde la Primera Guerra Mundial hasta el final de la Guerra Fría.

b) Analizar los cambios socioeconómicos y políticos que marcaron la evolución de la república norteamericana entre 1917 y 1992.

c) Entender los factores que, a lo largo del siglo XX, condicionaron la conversión de Estados Unidos en una potencia mundial.
