La asignatura Arqueología y gestión del Patrimonio trata la definición de los conceptos instrumentales fundamentales (Patrimonio Cultural, Patrimonio Arqueológico, interpretación, historia, gestión cultural, y modelos de gestión del Patrimonio), y la consideración de los fundamentos teóricos precisos para operar en esos ámbitos.

General Competences (CG)
- CG3 : Capacity to manage archaeological and heritage information.
- CG5 : Capacity for organising and planning heritage management.
- CG7 : Ethical and deontological commitment to the conservation and protection of the cultural, historic, artistic, archaeological and ethnographic heritage.
Specific Competences (CE)
- CE2 : Capacity to work professionally in archaeology, historical research, historical and archaeological management of cultural resources in modern society, in accordance with the deontological principles and codes of the profession.
- CE3 : Use the most important concepts, categories, theories and themes of historical-archaeological research correctly (economic, social, political, cultural, gender, etc.).
- CE5 : Acquire the ability to use material sources for the study of History in a critical manner, as well as the instruments for gathering and processing information (catalogues, inventories, electronic databases, etc.).
