Course context for academic year 2019-20

 

Instituciones y mercados financieros se imparte en el segundo cuatrimestre del tercer curso del Grado de Economía. Es una asignatura obligatoria, que ofrece una visión general de la organización y funcionamiento del sistema financiero español, tanto de sus instituciones como de sus mercados, en el contexto de la Unión Europea.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG1 : Capacity to find and analyse information.
  • CG3 : Capacity for self-learning.

Learning outcomes (Training objectives)

- To understand the role of the financial system in the economy.

- To understand the nature of the banking business and how financial markets operate. Anticipate their future evolution.

- To learn the main regulations governing financial institutions and markets and understanding and evaluating the effects that a regulatory change can have on financial activity and its results. Understanding and critically evaluating financial statements and reports on the activities of institutions and markets.

- To prepare a report on the activities of financial institutions and markets.

 

 

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2019-20

 

Comprender las funciones que cumple el sistema financiero en la economía.

Entender la naturaleza del negocio bancario y el modo en que operan los mercados financieros. Anticipar las perspectivas de evolución de ambos.

Conocer las principales regulaciones de instituciones y mercados financieros y comprender y valorar los efectos que un cambio normativo puede tener sobre la actividad financiera y sus resultados. 

Comprender y valorar críticamente los estados financieros y los informes sobre la actividad de instituciones y mercados.

Elaborar un informe sobre la actividad de instituciones y mercados financieros
