Course context for academic year 2019-20

La asignatura Ciencia de Materiales es una materia de formación optativa de 6 créditos ECTS que se imparte en el segundo cuatrimestre del cuarto curso del Grado en Física. Tiene como objetivo introducir al alumno en el campo de los materiales a través de una asignatura fundamentalmente descriptiva donde los alumnos aprenderán conceptos básicos sobre descripción estructural de los materiales cristalinos y amorfos, sobre sus propiedades y sobre la relación entre la estructura y las propiedades.
Este curso está dirigido en particular a los alumnos que quieran cursar estudios relacionados con la ciencia de materiales, a los alumnos interesados por la física del estado sólido y, en general, a los alumnos que quieran relacionar las propiedades físicas que se estudian en el grado con sus aplicaciones.

  • CE01 : Understand and apply the fundamental concepts of physics.
  • CE02 : Recognize and assess physical processes in everyday life.
  • CE03 : Be able to estimate ranges of magnitude in order to interpret various phenomena. To carry out the approximations required in order to reduce problems to a manageable level. Develop intuition in Physics.
  • CE05 : Ability to design experiments in the laboratory, to measure and analyze critically experimental results, to draw conclusions and to evaluate the level of uncertainty.
  • CE09 : Being able to model complex phenomena translating physical problems into mathematical language.
  • CE10 : Be able to use computing tools to model and solve physical problems.
  • CE12 : Recognize and analyze new problems and devise strategies to address them.
