Course context for academic year 2017-18
Esta asignatura se inserta en el Módulo 1: Fuentes, Conceptos y Métodos del Riesgo Ambiental y tiene como principal finalidad familiarizar a los estudiantes con el enfoque geográfico sobre los riesgos naturales. Este enfoque se caracteriza por considerar los riesgos naturales como fenómenos híbridos derivados de factores naturales por un lado y de factores sociales, por otro lado.

Se plantean los siguientes objetivos:
a)Introducir el enfoque geográfico y su evolución en el análisis de los riesgos naturales.
b)Caracterizar el concepto de vulnerabilidad y sus múltiples dimensiones (física, social, territorial).
c)Caracterizar los conceptos de adaptación, resistencia y resiliencia al riesgo.
d)Presentar algunas metodologías de representación de la vulnerabilidad y la adaptación al riesgo.
