Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2017-18

This subject is scheduled in the 7th semester of the Degree of Civil Engineering, and it is optional out of the Hydrology study block. It aims that previously learned knowledge is applied by students, along with the presented concepts, in order to solve those geotechnique problems that are present in hydraulic works.

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT : Capacitat d'enfrontar, projectar i resoldre problemes reals demandats per la societat en l'àmbit de l'enginyeria.
  • CT : Capacitat d'adoptar el mètode científic en el plantejament i realització de treballs diversos tant a nivell acadèmic com a professional.

 

Specific Competences (Specific Technology):>>Hydrology

  • CEH : Coneixement i capacitat per a projectar i dimensionar obres i instal·lacions hidràuliques, de producció industrial d'aigua, sistemes energètics, aprofitaments hidroelèctrics i planificació i gestió de recursos hidràulics superficials i subterranis.

 

Basic Transversal Competences

  • CB : Que els estudiants tinguen la capacitat de reunir i interpretar dades rellevants (normalment dins de la seua àrea d'estudi) per a emetre judicis que incloguen una reflexió sobre temes rellevants d'índole social, científica o ètica.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2017-18

¿ Comprehension of the different technique and legal aspects that are presented during the construction of civil works. Capacity of employing verified methods and solid technologies, with the aim of getting the highest efficacy during the construction works, respecting the environment and under safe conditions of all workers and users.
¿ Ability to planify, project, inspect and manage works and services of Civil Engineering.
¿ Ability to maintain hydraulic and energetic resources.
¿ Ability to study and design catchment of ground and running water.
¿ Knowledge of the Civil Engineering History and capacity of analysing civil works in particular and in general.
