Course context for academic year 2016-17

La construcción en arquitectura o ingeniería, es el arte o técnica de realizar edificios, infraestructuras, etc. El proceso de edificación se divide en diferentes fases u oficios: demoliciones, movimientos de tierra, cimentaciones, estructura, cerramientos, cubiertas, particiones, etc.
Esta asignatura engloba todas aquellas construcciones que se realizan una vez se han ejecutado los elementos resistentes (cimentaciones y estructura) y así como la envolvente de la edificación o cerramientos (fachadas y cubiertas). Por lo que queda conformada por particiones interiores, revestimiento de paramentos, solados, falsos techos y encuentros con el terreno.
Con ello se abarcarán elementos claves a la hora de trabajar en el ámbito profesional, sea cual sea la dedicación futura del alumno (jefe de obra, dirección facultativa, técnico en prevención, comercial, investigador, laborante, etc.), así como la ética profesional.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • E10 : Ability to rehabilitate buildings and restore and preserve the Architectural Heritage.
  • E12 : Understand the evaluation of the environmental impact of building and demolition processes, sustainability in building and the procedures and techniques used to evaluate the energy efficiency of buildings.
  • E13 : Capacity to apply technical regulations to the building process and generate technical specification documents for the construction procedures and methods of buildings.
  • E7 : Ability to identify construction systems and elements, define their function and compatibility and on-site installation in the construction process. Propose solutions and solve problems relating to construction details.
  • E9 : Capacity to pass judgement on the causes and manifestations of building lesions, propose solutions to avoid or rectify the pathologies and analyse the useful life cycle of building elements and systems.
