Course context for academic year 2015-16
Esta es la primera de las asignaturas de Microeconomía impartida a los estudiantes en el grado de Economía. Está programada para el primer cuatrimestre del primer año.
Se concibe esta asignatura a partir de contenidos principalmente conceptuales. En consecuencia se atenderá a desarrollar explicaciones que, manteniendo el rigor preciso de la materia, eviten el recurso a propuestas cuyos requerimientos analíticos superen los que previsiblemente atesoren los estudiantes.
El contenido de esta asignatura se dividide en seis secciones elementales. La primera de ellas tendrá un contenido introductorio; la segunda parte se centrará en el estudio de los mercados; en la tercera se abordan las virtudes de los mercados; la cuarta abordará el papel del sector público en la Economía; la quinta se centrará en el estudio de las empresas en los mercados competitivos; por último, la sexta parte profundizará en algunos temas avanzados en el ámbito de la Microeconomía.

- CE2 : Identify and anticipate relevant economic problems relating to resource allocation in general, in both the private and public context.
- CE3 : Bring a rational approach to the analysis and description of any aspect of economic reality.
- CE4 : Evaluate the consequences of different options for action and select the best one according to the objectives set.
- CE9 : Understand economic institutions as the result and application of theoretical or formal representations of how the economy works.
Learning outcomes (Training objectives)
- Use analytical reasonings to pose economic problems and resolve them.
- Comprise the paper of the prices in the economy and the determination of these in the distinct types of markets.
- Comprise the basic principles of the market through the analysis of the offer and the demand.
- See the relation between competitive markets and efficiency.
- Enter the problematic of the open economies in his commercial and financial relations with other countries.

- Conocer los problemas básicos que estudia la Microeconomía: Asignación de recursos, eficiencia distributiva, mercados.
- Entender el funcionamiento de los mercados así como las eventuales deficiencias de su actuación.
- Entender el comportamiento racional de los agentes en entornos económicos.
- Conocer las políticas públicas y sus instrumentos para resolver ineficiencias de los mercados.
- Entender el funcionamiento de procesos de asignación en general.
