Course context for academic year 2013-14

Las compresión y seguridad en los sistemas informáticos y en especial en redes de ordenadores es un tema critico en las telecomunicación actuales. Al extenderse las redes como Internet a toda la sociedad es cada vez mas importante el beneficio de dominar estas técnicas. Los conocimientos en compresión y seguridad informática son fundamentales para un técnico o investigador que va a construir y mantener sistemas conectados a un entorno inseguro como la red Internet. Esta asignatura proporciona al alumno una visión general de los conceptos de compresión y seguridad y amplia los conocimientos necesarios en la configuración de equipos y redes telemáticas.

  • C18 : Understand and apply the fundamentals of digital sound and image in their different formats, as well as the technical and creative dimensions of tools for the acquisition, production, edition and post-production of images.
  • C22 : Guarantee acceptable quality levels (performance, security, continuity, integrity, reliability) when distributing and storing multimedia content.
  • C9 : Understand the fundamentals of information theory and be able to choose the best compression and coding systems for the transmission, storage and protection of multimedia content.

Objetivos Docentes Específicos

 

- Que el alumno adquiera los conceptos básicos sobre la Compresión y Seguridad, de gran importancia para un futuro titulado en Grado en Multimedia.

- Comprender los métodos generales de Compresión.

- Identificar en la vida real formatos comprimidos con las técnicas estudiadas.

- Sea capaz de discernir las ventajas e inconvenientes de cada método presentado.

- Introducir los conceptos básicos de criptografía y seguridad informática.

- Introducir los servicios de seguridad informática que proporciona la criptografía.

- Hacer una revisión histórica de los principales hitos de criptografía.

- Definir y conocer básicamente algunos modelos y estándares de seguridad informática
