Course context for academic year 2012-13

Un aspecto esencial del comportamiento de los agentes económicos es su carácter estratégico. La consideración estratégica es fundamental en la teoría económica moderna. Es fundamental no sólo a la hora de entender la naturaleza  de los fallos del mercado (externalidades, bienes públicos, poder de mercado, negociación, información asimétrica) sino también a la hora de plantear y valorar posibles políticas de intervención del sector público, dado que sus efectos habrán de dependen necesariamente de la respuesta del comportamiento estratégico de los distintos agentes económicos implicados. La asignatura es una introducción al estudio del comportamiento estratégico y a su aplicación en una variedad de situaciones de interés económico. La asignatura se incluye en el Grado en Economía como parte de la formación en la materia de “Fundamentos del Análisis Económico.”

  • CE12 : Be able to use the appropriate tools for the analysis, diagnosis and solution of economic questions and problems.
  • CE2 : Identify and anticipate relevant economic problems relating to resource allocation in general, in both the private and public context.
  • CE3 : Bring a rational approach to the analysis and description of any aspect of economic reality.
  • CE4 : Evaluate the consequences of different options for action and select the best one according to the objectives set.
  • CE9 : Understand economic institutions as the result and application of theoretical or formal representations of how the economy works.
