Course context for academic year 2011-12
Esta asignatura resulta fundamental para el ejercicio profesional de los futuros egresados, en especial para el desempeño de los perfiles profesionales relacionados con la Geografía de las regiones del mundo. La asignatura pretende describir y explicar la nueva territorialidad de Europa a partir de un planteamiento dinámico, centrándose en los recursos físicos y humanos en un ambiente territorial adecuado, la diversidad regional de Europa y las Relaciones de las naciones en el proceso de ampliación de la Unión europea.

- CE4 : Capacity to combine temporal and spatial dimensions when analysing and interpreting spatial planning.
- CE5 : Capacity to read and interpret spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps, plans and satellite images correctly.
- CE6 : Capacity to transform and synthesise spatial information provided by statistical tables, graphs, maps and plans.
- CE7 : Capacity to determine and interpret the elements of the area in question according the scale of analysis.
- CE8 : Capacity analyse territory as a complex, interrelated and interdependent system.
- CE9 : Capacity to present and transmit knowledge related to spatial analysis in an ordered, simple and clear manner, appropriate to the context.

1. Describir y explicar la nueva territorialidad de Europa, a partir de un planteamiento territorial dinámico y diacrónico.
2. Aportar un planteamiento territorial y ambiental para explicar el análisis de los recursos físico-ecológicos y humanos del territorio europeo.
3. Conocer las relaciones e interdependencia en el proceso de ampliación de la Unión Europea hacia los Países de Europa Central y Oriental (PECOS).
4. Constatar la diversidad regional intraeuropea.
5. Identificar los factores de diferenciación regional.
6. Analizar los desequilibrios y desigualdades de dos grandes unidades geopolíticas como son Rusia y la Unión Europea.
