Course context for academic year 2010-11

El contenido de esta asignatura versa sobre la metodología de diagnóstico y tratamiento de los estrabismos.
Se instruirá al alumno acerca de todas las pruebas diagnósticas específicas de las que disponemos para analizar un paciente estrábico. A su vez, se indicarán las pautas de diagnóstico y tratamiento a seguir en cada caso, así como los criterios para referenciar al profesional médico oportuno aquellos casos que así lo requieran.
Se estudiarán específicamente los diversos tipos de estrabismos y sus adaptaciones sensoriales.
OBJETIVOS
El contenido de esta asignatura versa sobre la metodología de diagnóstico y tratamiento de los estrabismos.
Se instruirá al alumno acerca de todas las pruebas diagnósticas específicas de las que disponemos para analizar un paciente estrábico. A su vez, se indicarán las pautas de diagnóstico y tratamiento a seguir en cada caso, así como los criterios para referenciar al profesional médico oportuno aquellos casos que así lo requieran.
Se estudiarán específicamente los diversos tipos de estrabismos y sus adaptaciones sensoriales.

  • CEOP2 : Carry out diagnoses and define the needs for the optical compensation and/or visual treatments of population groups.
  • CEOP4 : Know how to structure the visual examination to the special aspects of each clinical case.
  • CEOP5 : Develop the ability to propose critical contributions when preparing reports jointly with other health care professionals when managing patients.

* Familiarizarse con la metodología clínica utilizada en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de los estrabismos.
* Proporcionar los conceptos teóricos sobre el manejo clínico del paciente estrábico.
* Saber utilizar en cada caso las pruebas diagnósticas específicas para analizar y tratar la anomalía estrábica del paciente.
* Valorar el diagnóstico del estrabismo para, en caso necesario, derivar al paciente al profesional oportuno.
