Course context for academic year 2010-11
Aproximación historiográfica y metodológica a la literatura árabe de época contemporánea: descripción de los principales autores y obras del periodo y de la evolución de sus principales rasgos estéticos y referenciales e iniciación al análisis del texto literario.
La asignatura ofrece al alumnado una formación básica en aspectos relacionados con la docencia de la literatura árabe moderna, el asesoramiento cultural, la investigación y la documentación.
La materia de la asignatura instruye en los conocimientos y destrezas básicos que el/la alumno/a desarrollará en otras asignaturas de contenido cultural / literario de formación práctica a lo largo de su formación académica (Textos árabes contemporáneos, 2º curso; Textos árabes: análisis y traducción, 4º curso), de modo que también se presenta en forma coordinada con las asignaturas de materia lingüística.

Specific Competences (CE)
- CE1 : Understand the key theories of the disciplines associated with Arab and Islamic Studies and apply them in practice to be able to operate appropriately in the different professional profiles accessible through the degree qualification or undertake further studies with a high level of autonomy.
- CE7 : Understand the characteristics and evolution of literature in the Arabic language to understand the role of its manifestations in building classical and contemporary literary thinking and assess its impact on the Arab social context and its relationship with other literatures.
- CE8 : Identify literary currents, their categories, concepts and nomenclature as a tool to analyse and criticise literary texts in Arabic.
