JOINT TBAM PROGRAMME: TOURISM AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

PRESENTATION

The joint Degree in Tourism and Business Administration and Management (TADE) is presented as an opportunity for those students who, in addition to wishing to acquire training in Business Administration and Management, are interested in specialising in the tourism sector and attaining an extremely good command of at least two foreign languages.

These studies do not constitute a separate degree or a new qualification but rather, as the name indicates, permit simultaneous study of both degree courses leading to the award of both degrees.   To this end, a course programme is offered which integrates the contents of both degree courses, as detailed in the respective course programmes, enabling students to obtain both degrees.

When devising the course programme, the following aspects have been taken into consideration:

  • The studies have been structured over a five-year period; given the subjects and contents that the students will be required to cover, this is considered the minimum reasonable period necessary.
  • Duplicated courses, that is, subjects which are studied on both the Tourism and ADE course programmes, have been eliminated.

Students who successfully complete the TADE Plan will be awarded the officially recognised qualifications of Degree in Tourism and Degree in Business Administration and Management.

SKILLS

As this is a joint course programme which combines the contents of the Business Administration and Management Degree and the Tourism Degree, the professional skills acquired correspond to the two degrees obtained at the end of the course.  These skills can therefore be consulted in the respective Degrees in Tourism and Business Administration and Management.

CREDITS

As envisaged in the course programme, this Degree course will have a duration of five academic years.   The number of ECTS necessary to pass the course is 366.
