Jose Miguel Molina Jorda graduated in 1999 in Chemistry Degree from the University of Alicante (UA). He then performed his doctoral thesis in Materials Science at the UA, which culminated in 2005. The doctoral thesis is entitled: "Basic aspects of the manufacture of composite materials Al/SiC and Al-Si/SiC for electronics and automotive". His scientific career can be divided into three periods:

A) predoctoral period (December 1999 - December 2004)

During this period he held the positions of: i) Project fellow; ii) Senior Laboratory Technician; iii) Adjunct Professor; and iv) Ministry FPU Fellow, all in the UA.

He published 11 articles in prestigious journals, was coauthor in 13 communications to conferences (2 national + 11 international) and participated in 4 projects (2 funded by UA and 2 funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology).

B) postdoctoral period 1 (January 2015 - March 2007)

During this period he held the post of "Post-doctoral scientist" at the E¿cole Polytechnique Fe¿de¿rale de Lausanne (EPFL), in Switzerland.
He actively participated in technology transfer activities (1 patent family), published 6 articles in prestigious journals and participated in 16 communications to congresses (2 national + 14 international) and 2 projects (1 funded by UA and 1 funded by the Commission for Technology and Innovation of Switzerland).

C) postdoctoral period 2 (April 2007 - present)

During this period he held the positions of: i) Senior Technician; ii) Juan de la Cierva Researcher (2 years); iii) Ramo¿n y Cajal Researcher (5 years); iv) Assistant Professor (1 year); and v) Associate Professor (tenure track) (3 years), all at UA. He is currently an Associate Professor (tenured) at the UA. During this period he participated in technology transfer activities (2 patent families and 3 industrial secrets).

In general, he has published more than 80 articles in the area of Materials Science in prestigious journals; he has participated in more than 130 communications to conferences and has participated in 36 projects (among them: 3 from the Ministry of Education and Science, 1 from the Ministry of Science and Innovation, 4 from the Generalitat Valenciana, 2 from European Union). Of these, he has been Principal Investigator in 8 (2 from UA, 2 from the Generalitat Valenciana, 1 from the Ministry of Education and Science and 3 of the Ministry of Science and Innovation), with a global amount assigned for the eight projects of more than 500.000€. He has also been the Responsible Researcher of 3 R+D+I contracts with companies, with a global amount assigned of 164.554 €. His research lines are: high temperature capillarity, composite materials with high thermal conductivity and interfacial nanostructuring of composite materials.
