Synthesis of nanoparticles and nanostructures
Síntesis de nanopartículas de semiconductores (óxidos y calcogenuros) por métodos sol-gel y solvotérmicos. Preparación de puntos e hilos cuánticos. Preparación de capas finas nanoporosas y nanoestructuradas (nanocolumnas, nanohilos, nanotubos) por métodos electroqímicos o de depósito químico. Caracterización fisicoquímica. Capas mixtas óxido/metal.
Semiconductor electrochemistry
Estudio de las respuestas electroquímicas estacionarias y no estacionarias de electrodos semiconductores: muestras monocristalinas y policristalinas de materiales como el TiO<sub>2</sub> y capas finas nanoestructuradas de óxidos (calcogenuros) semiconductores. Estudio de los procesos de acumulación de carga y efectos electrocrómicos. Electrocatálisis con óxidos.
Semiconductor photochemistry
Estudio de las respuestas fotoelectroquímicas estacionarias y no estacionarias de electrodos semiconductores: muestras monocristalinas y policristalinas de materiales como el TiO<sub>2</sub> y capas finas nanoestructuradas de óxidos (calcogenuros) semiconductores. Estudios de naturaleza fundamental (transferencia interfacial y transporte de carga, proceso de fotosensibilización, ...).
Applied aspects of semiconductor oxide photochemistry
Fotoelectrocatálisis y fotocatálisis heterogéneas: mineralización de contaminantes disueltos. Capas finas autolimpiantes. Electrocromismo fotoincluido y Fotocromismo.
Third generation solar cells
Preparación de células basadas en óxidos semiconductores sensiblilizados con puntos cuánticos. Desarrollo de nuevos materiales moleculares o poliméricos sólidos como transportadores de huecos. Células solares híbridas (orgánico/inorgánico).
