Course context for academic year 2021-22

La asignatura Química Verde, perteneciente al módulo avanzado, de carácter optativo, se imparte en el cuarto curso del Grado. Los contenidos de esta asignatura son de carácter multidisciplinar, pudiéndose aplicar tanto en las áreas de conocimiento de la Química (Química Analítica, Química Física, Química Inorgánica, Química Orgánica) como en la Ingeniería Química. En este sentido, los contenidos que se van a impartir tienen como objetivo final el diseño de productos y procesos químicos que reduzcan o eliminen el uso y la generación de sustancias peligrosas, y utilicen preferentemente recursos renovables. Para ello, en esta asignatura se presentarán inicialmente todos aquellos aspectos relacionados con los residuos provenientes de la indsutria química, para a continuación analizar las distintas vías de que se dispone para minimizarlos o sustituirlos, tales como la búsqueda de nuevos procesos químicos, con la utilización de catalizadores, el uso de disolventes no contaminantes y recursos renovables, así como la aplicación en la industria química de tecnologías y procesos que no ocasionen, directa o indirectamente, problemas y riesgos medioambientales.
