Course context for academic year 2019-20

Es una asignatura común en la formación básica de los Grados en Química y en Geología, junto con la asignatura Química I. En esta asignatura se introducen los fundamentos generales de la Química, que son necesarios para el desarrollo de los contenidos específicos de las distintas asignaturas que se imparten en cursos superiores de ambas titulaciones. La asignatura se ubica en el segundo semestre del primer curso de ambos Planes de Estudios, después de haberse impartido en el primer semestre la asignatura Química I.

  • CG1 : Develop the capacity for analysis, synthesis and critical reasoning.
  • CG2 : Show the capacity for effective and efficient management/direction: entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, creativity, organisation, planning, control, decision making and negotiation.

Specific Competences:>>Theoretical

  • CE2 : Recognise the variation of the characteristic properties of chemical elements according to the Periodic Table.
  • CE3 : Identify the characteristics of the different states of material and the theories used to describe them.
  • CE4 : Understand the main kinds of chemical reaction and their main associated characteristics.

 

Specific Competences:>>Ability

  • CE24 : Show knowledge and understanding of the essential facts, concepts, principles and theories associated with the different areas of Chemistry
  • CE25 : Solve qualitative and quantitative problems using previously developed models
  • CE35 : Interpret data obtained from laboratory observation and measurement.

 

Generic UA Competences

  • CGUA2 : Express oneself correctly, both orally and in writing, in either of the official languages of the Region of Valencia.
