The role of mathematics has been and remains a subject of discussion in terms of content and teaching methodology. A widely accepted idea is that the role of mathematics in technical careers and in science in general, is to provide a mathematical model of a technical or scientific problem to deal with. Therefore, learning this discipline should be oriented so as to provide:
a) The ability to develop such a mathematical model, starting with their own description of the problem in mathematical terms.
b) The ability to analyze and solve the model, either by analytical, numerical methods, etc.
c) The interpretation and discussion of the results.
Currently no one would doubt the usefulness of this type of technical or scientific representations from models provides the mathematical situations. Discerning what content should be taught math to future graduates in technical architecture and how it should be done this teaching, is a possibly permanent challenge.
In this process have made the subjects of Applied Mathematics Fundamentals I and II, as in the basic curriculum of Bachelor in Technical Architecture of the Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante materials. Thus, it is intended that they constitute a learning tool to introduce the student in a real scientific method of work.
Finally, this subject is, of course, the natural continuation of the course Fundamentals of Applied Mathematics I, forming with it a full course of algebra, calculus and certain Annexes, specific to a technical school.

General Transversal Competences
Our proposal includes general objectives of a course Fundamentals of Applied Mathematics II, the following:
1) Improve the training of students / a critic and researcher fostering their spirit and their ability to reason, by encouraging creativity.
2) To enable the students to learn a method of work, capable of, given a specific problem, to distinguish the important from the superfluous sense solutions to the problem and interpret the results.
3) To deepen the student´s, knowledge of mathematical language, specific methods of some of the different facets of mathematics and its application to different models to analyze and interpret the results.
4) Provide the students need mathematical instrument need to study other disciplines of his career.
5) Provide students with a repertoire of basic concepts, methods of reasoning and analysis techniques or calculus, adapted to their future professional needs.
