Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2017-18

Debidamente contextualizados en su marco histórico y sociocultural, la asignatura proyecta el estudio histórico y filológico de las principales etapas, movimientos, autores y obras de la literatura francesa de la Edad Media hasta el siglo XIX (no incluido). La asignatura permite completar la formación literaria del alumno de este grado ampliándolo hacia la literatura francesa, mediante el conocimiento específico de algunas de las obras más representativas de los géneros de las etapas, así como con el estudio de los textos objeto de las lecturas obligatorias.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG1 : Acquire the methodology and resources needed for literary research.
  • CG2 : Acquire specific advanced knowledge (regarding those acquired in the degree course) of the subjects studied.
  • CG3 : Acquire specific knowledge of the subjects studied for its professional application in the field of teaching.

 

Specific Competences:>>Conceptual knowledge / theoretical frameworks

  • CE1 : Approach the study of literature using new methodological approaches that are different to those acquired in the degree course.
  • CE2 : Understand the new content proposed for literature courses.
  • CE4 : Reflect on recurring themes and motifs in literature.
  • CE5 : Relate different literary traditions through links between aesthetic and ideological currents, authors, themes, works and periods.
  • CE6 : Acquire the philological resources needed to carry out literary research work (critical editing, bibliographic searches, databases, quotation systems, etc.).

 

Specific Competences:>>Procedural capabilities, skills and abilities

  • CE10 : Organise, structure and present research work into literature following the methodology learnt.
  • CE11 : Explore and develop new lines of contact between cultural traditions, works, authors, periods, themes and literary motifs.
  • CE12 : Carry out self-guided bibliographic searches using both electronic and traditional resources.
  • CE13 : Master the main computer tools and programmes, for the digitalisation, correction and layout of text and images.
  • CE9 : Apply the knowledge acquired to carrying out self-guided research work into literature.
