Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2017-18

La asignatura tiene como objetivo introducir al alumno en diversas técnicas de investigación aplicadas a la Economía
del Turismo y facilitarle herramientas que le permitan analizar el entorno que rodea tanto a las empresas y
trabajadores como a los territorios especializados en la actividad turística. De este modo, el alumno puede comprender
las dinámicas turísticas y proyectar tendencias futuras que le permitan adoptar las decisiones más apropiadas a partir
de la información económica necesaria con la ayuda proporcionada por bases de datos y los programas informáticos
apropiados para analizarla.


Al finalizar, el alumno conocerá las herramientas básicas de análisis que le faciliten el planteamiento de investigaciones
ligadas a la estructura de mercados, la internacionalización de las empresas turísticas, el mercado de trabajo turístico y
la competitividad empresarial y territorial de los destinos turísticos.

  • CE1 : Capacity to find, revise, select and use academic bibliography and specialised databases dealing with a particular topic.
  • CE2 : Capacity to select, design and justify a research project and carry it out using the appropriate scientific methodology.
  • CE3 : Use rationality for specialised economic analysis and describing complex aspects of economic reality, paying attention to historical inertia.
  • CE7 : Identify sources of economic information that is difficult for less specialised researchers to understand and know how to analyse its content.
