Esta asignatura ofrece las herramientas teóricas y metodológicas para que el profesional y el investigador en temas de turismo las pueda analizar y comprender, a su vez, el marco social más amplio en el que esta industria se inserta. Se presta atención a las interacciones existentes entre el subsistema del mundo turístico y otros sistemas clave como es el mundo del trabajo y de la planificación, analizando ejemplos de lo que se está haciendo, no solamente en España, en otros países del mundo.
