Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2018-19

The company practices constitute a formative nature activity by college students and supervised by the University, which aims to allow implement and complement the knowledge gained in their education, encouraging the acquisition of skills that will prepare students for professional activities , facilitate their employability and foster their entrepreneurial capacity. Within the Master in Automation and Robotics, the acquisition of skills is developed within a company introduced in the field of automation and / or robotics. In this way, he will have the opportunity to participate and perform tasks in real projects related to automation and / or robotics, and thus gain experience in automation and robotics at the same time to apply the knowledge acquired during the Master Classes .

This course is located as an elective in the second semester of the 1st year of the Master Plan, with a total of 6 ECTS credits, equivalent to professional activities in a company for a period of 150h (25h/credit ECTS). 

The student will have a mentor in the company that will guide you through the practice. This guardian must belong to the company and will have to establish a work plan for the student. Also, students will have a college tutor, who shall be a member of the Master teacher. This college tutor, supervise the work done by the student, being continuously in contact with the company tutor.

During the making of the work placement, students will be under the insurance contract for your protection in case of any incident. For students under 28, such insurance is intrinsic to the registration of Mater. In contrast, for students of 28 years or more is not associated with tuition, so to be selected in the registration process.

1. Contribute to the integral formation of students complementing their theoretical and practical learning in the field of automation and / or robotics.
2. To facilitate the understanding of the working methods appropriate to the professional reality that students will have to operate, comparing and applying the knowledge acquired during the Master Classes.
3. Encourage the development of technical, methodological, personal and participatory.
4. Get practical experience in the field of automation and / or robotics to facilitate insertion into the labor market and improve their future employability.
