Esta asignatura se imparte en el Máster de Investigación Educativa de la Universidad de Alicante, manteniendo como referencia la investigación en Didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales: Geografía, Arte, Ciudadanía, Historia y otras manifestaciones socioculturales.

General Competences (CG)
- CG1 : Competencias en construcción y la aplicación de los conocimientos adquiridos, y en la resolución de problemas de investigación dentro de los contextos multidisciplinares relacionados con la investigación educativa.
- CG4 : Habilidades de aprendizaje autónomo avanzado así como de revisión y evaluación de investigaciones.
- CG5 : Capacidad de actuación ética en el desarrollo de su investigación y su trabajo.

-Incorporate the scientific method into the educational research field
- Analyse the main sources of documentation in research and innovation in social science field.
- Know the different areas of research in the Teaching of Social Sciences.
- Interpret critically the research carried out and published in Social Science areas of study.
- Evaluate the influence of the different educational components in the teaching-learning process of the Social Sciences.
- Incorporate ICT tools into social science research.
- Consider innovation and research on the SDGs in the teaching of Social Sciences.
- Evaluate in a critical way the teaching materials and resources in the Social Science field.
* Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the design and development of research related to the use of ICT as an educational resource in the social sciences.
