Course context for academic year 2019-20

La contextualización tiene como objetivo situar la asignatura en el perfil profesional y en el plan formativo del grado/postgrado; así como establecer cómo se coordina con el resto de asignaturas. Los planes de estudios conducentes a la obtención del título que habilita para el ejercicio de la profesión de Maestro en Educación Primaria, garantizan la adquisición de competencias necesarias para ejercer la profesión. La Ley Orgánica Educación de 2/2006/ de 3 de mayo contiene la normativa reguladora de la profesión. La titulación de Maestro que figura como título de Grado en las enseñanzas universitarias y su plan de estudios tendrá una duración de 240 créditos ECTS. El objetivo principal del título es formar profesionales que respondan a siete perfiles profesionales que, según los estudios, se identifican con dos titulaciones: Maestro de Infantil y Maestro de Primaria. El artículo 93.2 de la Ley 2/2006 de 3 de mayo especifica que: La educación Primaria será impartida por maestros, que tendrán competencia en todas las áreas de este nivel. La enseñanza de la Música, Educación Física, de los idiomas extranjeros o de aquellas otras enseñanza que determine el gobierno, previa consulta a las Comunidades Autónomas, serán impartidas por maestros o cualificación correspondiente. En este sentido, amparados por la citada ley, y por los requisitos establecidos en las fichas de los títulos de Grado. La Educación Física se encuentra enmarcada en el bloque de contenidos de ¿Didácticos Disciplinares¿ (100-130 créditos) cuyos contenidos en relación a la Educación Física son: Comprender los principios que contribuyen a la formación cultural, personal y social desde la Educación Física; conocer el currículum escolar de la Educación Física; adquirir recursos para fomentar la participación a lo largo de la vida en actividades deportivas dentro y fuera de la escuela; desarrollar y evaluar contenidos del currículo mediante recursos didácticas apropiados y promover las competencias correspondientes a los alumnos. Por tanto nos encontramos ante un ámbito cultural y científico que pretende, no solo dotar a las estudiantes de un amplio conocimiento de destrezas motrices, sino también de estrategias metodológicas didácticas que le permitan actuar en el aula con un máximo de garantías de éxito. Dicho conocimiento deberá estar orientado en función de las fuentes del currículo: psicológicas, pedagógicas, epistemológicas y socioculturales. Por lo que se refiere a la formación como docente, el perfil del profesor de Educación Física deberá aproximarse al profesional reflexivo y crítico, capaz de reflexionar sobre su práctica y de participar y trabajar en equipo, convirtiéndose en un agente activo de su formación. En adición alo anterior e inmersos como estamos en la sociedad del conocimiento, consideramos imprescindible la utilización y dominio de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación /TIC) aplicadas a este ámbito conscientes de la mejora y enriquecimiento que dichas estrategias pueden aportar a la calidad de la Educación Física.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Understand the organisation of primary education schools and, where appropriate, adult education centres and training classes, and the diversity of actors and actions involved in their operation. Collaborate with the different sectors of the educational community and the context and work in a team with your co-workers as a precondition for improving one's professional activity, sharing knowledge and valuing experiences.
  • CE2 : Understand the characteristics and conditions in which school learning takes place and indentify how this could affect the development of the students and act as a tutor, focusing on the students and parents of your group. All seeking understanding and cooperation with the families, bearing in mind different family contexts and lifestyles.
  • CE3 : Organise teaching in the framework of the epistemological paradigms of the subjects of the degree course, combining one's knowledge of the discipline with the transversal and multidisciplinary knowledge needed for the respective levels of education, showing one's understanding of the learning aims of the areas of knowledge laid down in the primary education curriculum.
  • CE4 : Motivate and promote the progress of students in school in the framework of comprehensive education and promote their self-learning skills, starting with the targets and content of each educational level, with positive expectations of student progress. All of this while renouncing traditional stereotypes that are external to learning, and developing strategies to avoid discrimination and exclusion.
  • CE5 : Identify and support those students who do not achieve their learning potential or have behavioural, emotional or social problems. Also know how to request advice from different services and specialists to attend diverse special education needs.
  • CE6 : Encourage students to act as responsible and critical citizens to promote the shared construction of democratic standards of coexistence and work together to resolve problematic situations and conflicts. Be able to analyse social inequalities in the framework of the complex education-school relationship and the role of teachers in reproducing and/or transforming them.
  • CE7 : Design and develop educational projects, programming units, contexts, activities and materials, including digital material, to allow the curriculum to be adapted to the diverse nature of the students and promote the quality of the contexts in which the educational process takes place, thus guaranteeing their well-being.
