Course context for academic year 2019-20

Esta asigantura propone el formar a los alumnos en los conceptos más importantes relacionados con la patología en la obra civil y su rehabilitació. Para ello, en una primera fase, se plantearán las causas más comunes que generan esta problemática, sus mecanismos de desarrollo y métodos de prevención. Fundamentalmente de la principal patología asociada a las EHA. Es fundamental la educación superior de cara a proporcionar al futuro ingeniero las herramientas necesarias que le permitan ser consciente y conocedor de la problematica de las patologías en EHA y adquirir competencias para su correcta actuación.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG-5 : Basic understanding of geology and soil morphology and their application in solving engineering problems. Climatology.

 

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT-10 : Capacity to confront, plan and solve real problems demanded by society in the field of engineering.
  • CT-11 : Capacity to learn and apply new concepts and methods in an autonomous and interdisciplinary fashion.
  • CT-12 : Capacity to assimilate and adapt to the permanent evolution of technology when developing one's professional career.
  • CT-13 : Capacity to adopt the scientific method when planning and carrying out different academic and professional tasks.
  • CT-14 : Capacity for self-criticism needed to analyse and improve the quality of projects.

Specific Competences (Civil Branch)

  • CE-1 : Understand the topographical techniques used to obtain measurements, create plans, establish layouts, take defined geometries to the terrain and control movements of structures and earth works.
  • CE-12 : Understand building procedures, machinery and planning, organisation, measurement and site valuation techniques.
  • CE-2 : Theoretical and practical understanding of the chemical, physical, mechanical and technological properties of the most commonly used building materials.
  • CE-3 : Capacity to apply knowledge of building materials in structural systems. Understand the relationship between the structure of the materials and the mechanical properties derived from the same.
  • CE-4 : Capacity to analyse and understand how the characteristics of structures affect their behaviour. Capacity to apply knowledge of the resistant working of structures to size them.
  • CE-5 : Understand geotechnics and soil and rock mechanics and their application to carrying out studies, projects, constructions and exploitations where it is necessary to carry out earth movements, foundations and containment structures.
  • CE-6 : Understand the behaviour of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and metal structures, and capacity to conceive, design, build and maintain these kinds of structures.
  • CE-7 : Knowledge and understanding of fluid mechanics and the basic flow equations for application to conduit systems, both pressurised and free-flow.

 

Specific Competences (Specific Technology):>>Civil Construction

  • CEC-1 : Understand the typology and bases for the calculation of pre-fabricated elements and their application to fabrication processes.
  • CEC-2 : Understand the planning, calculation, construction and maintenance of building works as regards structure, finishes, installations and specific equipment.
  • CEC-3 : Capacity to plan, build and preserve marine works.
  • CEC-4 : Capacity to build and preserve roads, as well as the sizing, planning and building of the elements that make up highway equipment. Capacity to plan, build and preserve road transport infrastructures.
  • CEC-6 : Capacity to use building procedures, building machinery and works planning techniques.
  • CEC-8 : Knowledge and understanding of supply and sanitary systems, as well as their sizing, building and conservation.

 

Specific Competences (Specific Technology):>>Hydrology

  • CEH-4 : Knowledge and understanding of supply and sanitation systems, as well as their sizing, construction and conservation.

 

Basic Transversal Competences

  • CB-2 : Students should know how to apply their knowledge to their job or vocation in a professional manner and should have those skills that are usually reflected when preparing and defending arguments and solving problems in their field of study.
  • CB-3 : Students should have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their field of study) to give opinions that include a reflection on important, social, scientific, ethical matters, etc.
  • CB-4 : Students should be able to transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • CB-5 : Students should have developed the necessary learning skills to undertake later studies with a high level of autonomy.

Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2019-20

Los objetivos de la asignatura son dotar a los alumnos de los conocimientos, competencias y habilidades para conocer, identificar y actuar sobre las prinicpales patologias que afectan am ámbito de la construcción.  Iniciar a los alumnos en el conocimiento y la comprension de los procesos patologicos, su evaluación y la de las soluciones constructivas para su reparación, restauración y rehabilitación. Conocimiento en profundidad de todos los factores que intervienen en el fenómeno de la corrosión de las armaduras en el hormigón armado, incluyendo los métodos de protección.
