La asignatura de Historia de la Construcción pertenece al área de conocimiento de Construcciones Arquitectónicas. Pretende iniciar al estudiante de Ingeniería de la edificación en el conocimiento de las construcciones históricas y sus soluciones constructivas desde el Mundo Antiguo hasta la Postmodernidad

El objetivo general de la asignatura pretende capacitar al estudiante en el análisis de los edificios históricos, contextualizarlos y desarrollar la capacidad de leer los detalles constructivos de las diferentes épocas y adquirir un criterio propio para la intervenciòn de edificios patrimoniales y contemporáneos.
