Course context for academic year 2018-19

Diseño de bases de datos multimedia es una asignatura que, basándose en la formación recibida en la asignatura de Fundamentos de bases de datos, pretende que el alumno aprenda a diseñar y gestionar bases de batos, inicialmente de propósito general, para después profundizar y especializarse  en el diseño de bases de datos que van a alojar contenidos multimedia (imagenes, videos, etc.). Además se hará una  aproximarcion  las técnicas de explotación de bases de datos multimedia  a través de las tecnologías específicas.

La metodología de diseño de la base de datos va desde el diseño conceptual, seguido del diseño lógico y por último, se estudia el diseño físico.

  • C26 : Understand, design, integrate and implant appropriate content management systems for specific requirements.
  • C4 : Understand information recovery and extraction techniques using multimedia, multilingual and multimodal resources.
  • C6 : Identify, manage, integrate and implant systems and infrastructures for the distribution, storage and support of multimedia content.
