Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2018-19

Se trata de una asignatura de carácter obligatorio que se imparte en el 7º semestre del Grado en Ingeniería Química, después de que los estudiantes hayan cursado ciertas materias en las que deben haber adquirido los conocimientos y habilidades previas que ayudarán a la comprensión de esta asignatura:


•    Las materias básicas como fundamentos químicos de ingeniería, química inorgánica, análisis químico e instrumental,… ayudan a conocer las sustancias naturales, los procesos químicos (ciclos) en los que intervienen así como su alteración por sustancias o procesos contaminantes.

•    Los aspectos ingenieriles estudiados en materias como flujo de fluidos, operaciones básicas, diseño de reactores, control de procesos, seguridad industrial,…ayudarán a comprender los procesos y técnicas de tratamiento para eliminación o minimización de vertidos de sustancias contaminantes.


Finalmente indicar que puesto que esta asignatura se imparte en el último curso, los estudiantes llegan a ella después de haber adquirido y desarrollado las habilidades que les permiten manejar con soltura herramientas de cálculo para la resolución de problemas, preparación de presentaciones orales, redacción de informes, técnicas de laboratorio, dominio de la lengua inglesa, en las que se seguirá trabajando y avanzando.

  • CE15 : Basic understanding of production and manufacturing systems.

  • CB1 : Que los estudiantes hayan demostrado poseer y comprender conocimientos en un área de estudio que parte de la base de la educación secundaria general, y se suele encontrar a un nivel que, si bien se apoya en libros de texto avanzados, incluye también algunos aspectos que implican conocimientos procedentes de la vanguardia de su campo de estudio.

  • CPR1 : Capacity to draft, sign and develop industrial engineering projects in the speciality of Chemical Engineering, aimed at the construction, refurbishment, repair, conservation, demolition, manufacture, installation, assembly and exploitation of: structures, mechanical equipment, energy facilities, electrical and electronic installations, industrial installations and plants and manufacturing and automation processes.
  • CPR10 : Knowledge, understanding and capacity to apply the necessary legislation when acting as an Industrial Engineer in a professional capacity.
  • CPR2 : Capacity for managing activities involved in the engineering problems described in the previous heading.
  • CPR3 : Understand basic subjects and technologies to allow one to learn new methods and theories, making one versatile in adapting to new situations.
  • CPR4 : Capacity to solve problems with initiative, decision-making skills, creativity, critical reasoning and ability to communicate and transmit knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of industrial engineering.
  • CPR5 : Understand how to carry out measurements, calculations, assessments, valuations, surveys, studies, reports, work sheets and other similar tasks.
  • CPR6 : Capacity to deal with mandatory specifications, regulations and standards.
