Esta asignatura pertenece a la especialidad o itinerario de Tecnologías de la Información y guarda relación con las distintas asignaturas programación y, principalmente, con las asignaturas Sistemas Operativos y Redes de Computadores de segundo curso del Grado en Ingeniería Informática. Por otra parte, tiene su continuación en asignaturas como Administración e Implantación de Servicios de Internet.
