Inherent transversal competences:>>Cognitive Instrumental

  • CG15 : Ability to analyse and synthesise. This is the ability to separate the parts of a research process and the ability to reconstruct the whole project from its parts.
  • CG17 : Ability to apply knowledge to practice. Ability to technify any conceptual discourse with processes that can be applied to reality.

  • CGUA10 : Capacity to deal with real situations in architecture. Capacity to face, plan and resolve real problems required by society in the field of architecture.
  • CGUA12 : Capacity to adapt to new professional technological models. Capacity to assimilate and adapt to the permanent evolution of technology during professional career.
  • CGUA9 : Capacity for group work. Capacity to perform well in collective and group work, sharing tasks and taking on roles.

  • CE16 : Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban units and execute supply, water treatment and evacuation, heating and air-conditioning solutions.
  • CE17 : Ability to apply technical and building regulations.
  • CE26 : Suitable understanding of the physical and chemical characteristics, production procedures, pathology and use of building materials.

  • CE34 : Ability to conceive, prepare and develop basic projects for execution, sketches and draft projects.
  • CE41 : Ability to resolve passive environmental conditioning, including thermal and acoustic insulation, climate control, energy efficiency and natural lighting.
  • CE52 : Suitable understanding of ecology, sustainability and the principles of conservation of energy and environmental resources.
  • CE53 : Suitable understanding of the architectural, town planning and landscape traditions of western culture, as well as their technical, climatic, economic, social and ideological foundations.

 

DEGREE IN FUNDAMENTALS OF ARCHITECTURE

 

General Competences (CG)

  • CG-1 : Conocer la historia y las teorías de la arquitectura, así como las artes, tecnologías y ciencias humanas relacionadas con esta.
  • CG-4 : Comprender los problemas de la concepción estructural, de construcción y de ingeniería vinculados con los proyectos de edificios así como las técnicas de resolución de estos.
  • CG-5 : Conocer los problemas físicos, las distintas tecnologías y la función de los edificios de forma que se dote a éstos de condiciones internas de comodidad y protección de los factores climáticos.
  • CG-6 : Conocer las industrias, organizaciones, normativas y procedimientos para plasmar los proyectos en edificios y para integrar los planos en la planificación.
  • CG-7 : Comprender las relaciones entre las personas y los edificios y entre éstos y su entorno, así como la necesidad de relacionar los edificios y los espacios situados entre ellos en función de las necesidades y de la escala humanas.

  • CB 2 : Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio.
  • CB 3 : Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética.

  • CT-19 : Habilidad para la localización y fijación de objetivos. Habilidad para escoger procedimientos de análisis, detectar singularidades e identificar situaciones críticas.

  • CT-26 : Habilidad para emprender estrategias y procesos de aprendizaje autónomos. Capacidad de generar procesos de autoaprendizaje que, de manera autónoma, complementen el aprendizaje reglado.

  • CT-27 : Motivación por trabajar en equipos de carácter interdisciplinar e internacional. Capacidad para entender los distintos modos de aproximar los problemas, tanto desde otras disciplinas como desde otros territorios, como oportunidades de aprendizaje y crecimiento.
  • CT-28 : Habilidad para diseñar y gestionar propuestas que incorporen responsabilidad social y medioambiental. Capacidad para entender el compromiso con el entorno social y físico que implican los procesos de transformación del mismo.

  • CE-13 : Aptitud para aplicar las normas técnicas y constructivas.
  • CE-20T : Capacidad para concebir, calcular, diseñar, integrar en edificios y conjuntos urbanos y ejecutar instalaciones de suministro, tratamiento y evacuación de aguas, de calefacción y de climatización.
  • CE-26 : Conocimiento adecuado de las características físicas y químicas, los procedimientos de producción, la patología y el uso de los materiales de construcción.

 

Specific Competences:>>Project Block

  • CE-35T : Aptitud para resolver el acondicionamiento ambiental pasivo, incluyendo el aislamiento térmico y acústico, el control climático, el rendimiento energético y la iluminación natural.
  • CE-37T : Capacidad para la concepción, la práctica y desarrollo de proyectos básicos y de ejecución, croquis y anteproyectos.
  • CE-52 : Conocimiento adecuado de la ecología, la sostenibilidad y los principios de conservación de recursos energéticos y medioambientales.
  • CE-53 : Conocimiento adecuado de las tradiciones arquitectónicas, urbanísticas y paisajísticas de la cultura occidental, así como de sus fundamentos técnicos, climáticos, económicos, sociales e ideológicos.
  • CE-56 : Conocimiento adecuado de las bases de la arquitectura vernácula.
