Course context for academic year 2021-22

Basic Programming 1 is the first contact with the programming of computers in this degree. Programming is a really important tool in a degree as Sound and Image Engineering. In this subject, we will study and put in practice the fundamental concepts of this discipline, that allows the student to be adapted to any other procedimental language.

UA Basic Transversal Competences

  • CT12 : Capacity to assimilate and adapt to the permanent evolution of technology when developing one's professional career.
  • CT14 : Capacity for self-criticism needed to analyse and improve the quality of projects.

  • B2 : Basic understanding of using and programming computers, operating systems, databases and computer programs for use in engineering.

  • CT1 : Students should show they possess and understand knowledge in a field of study that continues from general secondary education and is usually found at a level which, although supported by advanced textbooks, also includes certain aspects that involve knowledge arising from the cutting edge of their field of study.
  • CT5 : Students should have developed the necessary learning skills to take on later studies with a high level of autonomy.

 

Specific Competences: >> Competences Common to the Telecommunications Branch

  • C2 : Capacity to use computer and information applications, office systems, databases, advanced calculation, project management, visualisation, etc.) to support the development and exploitation of telecommunications and electronics networks, services and applications.
  • C3 : Capacity to use computer tools to find bibliographic resources and information related to telecommunications and electronics.

OP1-Understand Programming as a key tool of the Sound and Image engineer.

OP2-Know the basic elements of the high level languages.

OP3- Know one or more specific programming languages.

OP4-Develop the capacity of design algorithms for solving specific problems.

OP5-Understand and apply the basic tools to measure the effectiveness and the efficiency of an algorithm (costs and traces)

OP6-Understand and apply the basic data structures.

OP7-Get a good programming style: modular decomposition, documentation, good writing, etc.
