Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2019-20

La asignatura tiene por finalidad la adquisición de conocimientos teóricos y aplicados sobre la cooperación al desarrollo, entendida como un ámbito específico de la actividad profesional e investigadora para los economistas. Para ello, se procederá a un estudio de la cooperación al desarrollo como política global, analizando sus orígenes y evolución histórica, su tipología, así como los diferentes mecanismos, acuerdos e instrumentos nacionales e internacionales para su implantación. También se estudiará el papel de las principales instituciones nacionales e internacionales que intervienen en ella, como las Naciones Unidas, el Comité de Ayuda al Desarrollo de la OCDE (CAD), el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y Cooperación (MAEC), la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) y las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales de Desarrollo (ONGD). Al mismo tiempo, se analizarán los principales acuerdos que orientan la Agenda del Desarrollo Internacional con especial atención a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y la Agenda 2030. Todo ello se hará desde una perspectiva teórica pero también eminentemente práctica. Los contenidos de la asignatura vinculan conocimientos de otras asignaturas de la titulación.
