Course context for academic year 2018-19

El mundo contemporáneo vive inmerso en procesos que es necesario estudiar desde la ciencia antropológica a fin de comprender el tejido sociocultural que conforma la base de las identidades diversas. Las relaciones establecidas entre los diferentes grupos de individuos que participan de los procesos de desarrollo, nos dan una idea de cómo la cultura es una parte indisoluble del devenir humano; de cómo las formas tradicionales se están conjugando con las nuevas tecnologías para dar cabida a nuevas formas de impulso social. La adaptación, las organizaciones sociopolíticas o la economía, son llevadas a cabo por grupos pertenecientes a etnias, géneros o clases sociales específicas, que comparten territorios o luchan por ellos, y que nos dan las pautas para adentrarnos en su conocimiento.

La asignatura aporta una preparación teórica y práctica para afrontar la comprensión de una sociedad cambiante y diversa, donde los conceptos, junto con la metodología y las técnicas específicas de la Antropología, serán las herramientas a utilizar por los futuros profesionales.

Specific Disciplinary Training Competences (Theoretical)

  • CES1 : Analysis of the main concepts and generalisations on human society and its processes.
  • CES3 : Understanding and mastery of social science methodology, its statistical tools, methods and basic and advanced social research techniques, both quantitative and qualitative.

 

Specific Disciplinary Training Competences (Practical)

  • CEH1 : Understanding of and ability to propose and develop applied research and select the appropriate research techniques for each case.

 

Specific Disciplinary Training Competences (Conduct, Presence)

  • CEE2 : Acceptance of democratic values and a commitment to respect human rights and non-discrimination on the grounds of gender, class, race ethnic origin, opinion or disability.
  • CEE3 : Capacity to work in interdisciplinary teams.

 

Transversal Competences

  • CT3 : Recognition of diversity and training for interculturality.
