Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2018-19

La asignatura describirá a los estudiantes los conceptos y medios tecnológicos necesarios para desarrollar su labor profesional. En ella se tratan temas muy diversos los cuales es necesario conocer y comprender para realizar tareas de vigilancia, investigación y/o de seguridad. Entre otros aspectos se tratarán: registro de sonido, grabaciones ocultas, visión nocturna, circuitos cerrados de televisión, seguridad en las comunicaciones, detección de intrusiones, localización y seguimiento, etc.

El temario está dividido en cuatro bloques diferenciados. En el primero se tratan de forma descriptiva los fundamentos físicos y tecnológicos básicos sobre los que se sustentan el resto de los temas tratados. El segundo bloque trata sobre los sistemas de imagen y sonido. El tercer bloque trata sobre los sistemas de comunicaciones y, el cuarto y último bloque está enfocado a la seguridad informática.

Para cursar esta asignatura no es necesario haber cursado ninguna asignatura previa en particular.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE11 : Be able to draft a criminological report.
  • CE3 : Be able to extract and synthesise information from different sources, including: handling information and communication technologies, designing and applying appropriate research strategies for compiling data using quantitative and qualitative methods, and being able to apply basic statistical techniques to questions related to crime and victimisation when necessary.
  • CE8 : Be able to argue and describe different points of view and debate them in a logical and coherent manner and present conclusions in an appropriate academic format when dealing with questions of criminal policy, victimisation, criminalisation and responses to crime and deviation as well as on the perception and interpretation of the same by the communications media, public opinion and official reports.

- Saber utilizar los sistemas de retoque fotográfico y edición de video.

- Conocer los fundamentos de los sistemas de comunicaciones tanto cableados como inalámbricos.

- Conocer el grado de seguridad ofrecido por los sistemas de comunicaciones.
