Course context for academic year 2024-25
La asignatura INTRODUCCIÓN A LA ESTADÍSTICA es la única asignatura de la materia básica 'Estadística' incluida en el grado de CRIMINOLOGÍA.Es una asignatura de duración cuatrimestral que se imparte en el segundo cuatrimestre del primer curso del grado de CRIMINOLOGÍA.
La finalidad principal de esta asignatura es familiarizar al estudiante con las herramientas básicas del análisis exploratorio de datos y su aplicación en el ámbito de la criminología, de tal manera que sean capaces de organizar, representar, analizar y resumir un conjunto de datos usando los métodos gráficos y numéricos más apropiados para cada tipo de situación, así como interpretar de forma rigurosa los resultados obtenidos.
Se pretende que el futuro criminólogo sea capaz de reconocer un problema estadístico bien definido y escoger y manejar las herramientas estadísticas básicas para resolverlo directamente, o bien sea capaz de interaccionar con eficacia con un profesional de la estadística.
