Course context for academic year 2019-20

Esta asignatura forma parte de la formación optativa ofertada en el Grado de Criminología y permitirá al alumno/a adquirir, desde un enfoque científico, los conocimientos y competencias más relevantes de la intervención en situaciones de crisis, catástrofes y emergencias. Con carácter general se analizarán los fundamentos de la intervención psicológica ante acontecimientos vitales estresantes así como el impacto psicológico y las reacciones emocionales postraumáticas experimentadas por las víctimas directas e indirectas de un suceso traumático. El conocimiento y comprensión de las estrategias de intervención en situaciones de crisis, catástrofes y emergencias tiene como objetivo fundamental proporcionar a los profesionales de la criminología los recursos necesarios para que puedan prestar los primeros auxilios psicológicos a las víctimas de un suceso traumático. De este modo se pretende hacer frente a las necesidades más inmediatas que requieren las víctimas, restaurar el sentido de seguridad y evitar la aparición y/o cronificación de trastornos psicológicos a largo plazo. El conocimiento y comprensión de los últimos avances en investigación en técnicas de intervención efectivas con víctimas de sucesos traumáticos de gran intensidad permite complementar las competencias trabajadas en otras asignaturas, como Victimología, Psicología Criminal, Violencia de género o Psicopatología del Comportamiento Delictivo, entre otras.

  • CE4 : Be able to describe and evaluate social and political processes of victimisation and criminalisation in the light of criminological theories (dynamics existing between the victim, crime, deviant conduct and the main agents and institutions related to the response to criminal acts and deviation).
  • CE5 : Be able to provide an analytical explanation of diversity and social inequality, as well as its consequences relating to criminal acts, victimisation and responses to crime and deviation.
  • CE9 : Be able to create prevention strategies in the fields of criminology, victimology and marginalisation, etc., guaranteeing public safety, fundamental rights and the solution of social problems.
