Competencies and objectives

 

Course context for academic year 2021-22

La presente asignatura es cursada por los alumnos tras haber adquirido una base sobre Mecánica Cuántica en los cursos precedentes. La asignatura consta de dos partes. Una parte se dedica a las aplicaciones de la mecánica cuántica a sistemas atómicos y moleculares, estudiando la estructura electrónica, geometría molecular y otras propiedades de dichos sistemas. Asimismo se estudian los fundamentos teóricos y los métodos experimentales de las espectroscopías rotacional, vibracional y electrónica, entre otras. La otra parte de la asignatura proporciona una breve introducción a la física nuclear y de partículas. Se presentarán sus fundamentos teóricos y experimentales y se hará énfasis en sus aplicaciones y su relación con otras materias afines. Se estudiarán las propiedades de los núcleos y se presentará una primera aproximación al modelo estándar de las partículas.
