El Álgebra Lineal es un pilar básico de las Matemáticas y de la Ciencia en general: sus conceptos y métodos, básicos o avanzados, se requieren para el desarrollo de numerosas ramas del Álgebra, el Análisis, la Geometría, la Estadística, la Investigación Operativa...
El objetivo básico de la asignatura es el de comprender, manejar y relacionar los conceptos y métodos básicos del Álgebra Lineal. Sin duda, el estudiante de Física necesitará a menudo usar estos conocimientos e incluso desarrollar otros más sofisticados, por lo que tan importante como manejar los métodos debe ser comprender bien los conceptos que hay detrás de ellos.
