Course context for academic year 2018-19

1.-Entender que es un paciente de baja visión. Analizar su función visual

2.- Estudiar las características visuales de las patologías que producen baja visión: DMAE, Stargart, Best, Retinopatía diabética, Retinosis pigmentaria, Glaucoma y Miopía Magna

3.-Conocer los métodos de evaluación cualitativos y cuantitativos de la función visual de los pacientes de baja visión: Agudeza visual, campo visual, sensibilidad al contraste y visión del color,  SD-OCT, UHR-OCT ,SLO  y Tests electrodiagnósticos

4.- Examinar los diferentes instrumentos ópticos que se utilizan como ayudas en baja visión: Lupas, adiciones, telescopios, telemicroscopios, CCTV, Sistemas optoelectrónicos

5.-Aprender los procedimientos de adaptación de las ayudas de baja visión

6.- Analizar los métodos de entrenamiento y rehabilitación visual

  • CES30 : Capacity to calculate the geometric parameters of specific visual compensation systems: low vision, intraocular lenses, contact lenses and ophthalmic lenses.

  • CES51 : Understand the epidemiological models of the main visual pathologies.
  • CES52 : Understand and apply health education techniques to the main generic ocular health problems. Understand the principles of sickness and health.

  • CES58 : Capacity to measure, interpret and treat refractive defects.
  • CES62 : Design, apply and monitor visual therapy programmes.
  • CES75 : Understand the basic models of colour, shape and movement vision.
