Course context for academic year 2012-13

 

La Botánica es una asignatura formativa básica en el grado de Ciencias del Mar ya que comprende  los conocimientos básicos  sobre los organismos procariotas y eucariotas vegetales además de los hongos y las diferentes asociaciones entre todos ellos. También tiene como finalidad  preparar al alumno para la mejor compresión de las asignaturas; Botánica Marina y Biología Marina,  programadas en el segundo semestre y otras de cursos posteriores como la Biotecnología Marina.

Specific Competences:>>Theoretical

  • CE1 : Possess a basic understanding of molecular structure, genetics, cell organisation and the evolutionary processes of living beings.
  • CE10 : Understand the different adaptations (morphological, physical, conduct) of living beings in the marine environment.
  • CE14 : Acquire knowledge of the different fields of application (resources, planning and management, infrastructures, etc.) of the marine sciences.
  • CE7 : Understand the structural and functional organisation of marine organisms and their biological diversity.

 

Specific Competences:>>Ability

  • CE21 : Use the necessary information and documentation for the separation, identification and cataloguing of marine organisms.
  • CE31 : Prepare, present and defend scientific texts and reports both in writing and orally to an audience.
  • CE33 : Design measures for the conservation and protection of marine and coastal species and habitats.

* Conocer los principios básicos de la organización estructural y los procesos evolutivos de los vegetales 

* Conocer la diversidad y adaptaciones de las algas, hongos, musgos y cormófitos a los diferentes ambientes (marino, acuático y terrestre). 

* Adquirir conocimientos de los diferentes campos de aplicación de las algas y hongos

* Utilizar la información y documentación necesaria para la separación, identificación e inventariado de vegetales y hongos

* Elaborar informes y presentaciones orales de Botánica a partir de la información manejada en las sesiones teóricas y prácticas
