Course context for academic year 2018-19
El objetivo fundamental de la asignatura es comprender y analizar la conexión que existe en el océano entre procesos físico-químicos y los biológicos. En esta asignatura se trata de analizar los cambios en patrones espaciales y temporales, así el flujo de materia y energía, en las comunidades bentónicas y pelágicas que habitan los océanos, en relación a la dinámica fisicoquímica de las masas de agua, con el fin de entender los procesos que rigen la producción primaria y secundaria oceánica. Por otra parte se estudia la complejidad y heterogeneidad del necton marino y su relación con el hábitat. Se analizan las comunidades de peces de diversos ambientes oceánicos, y se estudian las relaciones tróficas, los procesos migratorios y el estado de conservación del peces y mamíferos marinos. En la parte instrumental se estudian los métodos de muestreo de la oceanografía biológica para las comunidades pelágicas, con referencia a los métodos de estudio del necton como es la telemetría.

- CE26 : Acquire the ability to design, process information, draft and execute projects related with marine and coastal environments.
- CE30 : Be able to carry out standard sampling procedures related to research tasks in the sea and in the laboratory.
