Course context for academic year 2014-15

Ampliación de Microbiología es un complemento a la asignatura ¿Microbiología¿ impartida en el tercer semestre (segundo curso) de la titulación, profundizándose en la microbiología ambiental y molecular, así como en los aspectos microbiológicos relacionados con la elaboración y conservación de alimentos.

Specific Competences:>>Theoretical

  • CE15 : Identify the main metabolic pathways.
  • CE21 : Isolate, cultivate and modify microorganisms, cells and tissue of pluricellular organisms.
  • CE22 : Analyse and interpret the development, growth and biological cycles of living beings.
  • CE24 : Acquire the basic knowledge to analyse the structure and dynamics of populations.
  • CE25 : Relate the different interactions between species in the working of ecosystems.
  • CE27 : Relate the flows of energy and the biogeochemical cycles in the working of ecosystems.
  • CE28 : Acquire the knowledge needed to design and execute biology projects.
  • CE7 : Understand evolutionary mechanisms and models.
  • CE8 : Understand and know the genetic foundations of diversity.
  • CE9 : Identify organisms and interpret the diversity of species in the environment, as well as their origin, evolution and behaviour.

  • CE32 : Safe handling: biological material, reagents, instruments and devices used in Biology.
  • CE33 : Carry out standard laboratory procedures involved in analytical tasks.
  • CE34 : Plan, design and execute practical research studies, evaluating the results.
  • CE35 : Interpret data gathered from observation and measurement in the laboratory and the field.
  • CE39 : Recognise and evaluate biological processes in daily life.
  • CE40 : Relate Biology to other disciplines.
  • CE42 : Know how to identify, analyse and catalogue biological organisms.
  • CE45 : Carry out biological biotests and diagnoses.
