Course context for academic year 2018-19

Asignatura de carácter experimental, en la que el alumno se forma en diversas técnicas y operaciones fundamentales que se realizan en un laboratorio de química.

Los estudiantes antes de esta asignatura ya han realizado algunas prácticas de laboratorio de química (en la asignatura Química I) y tienen una formación básica en técnicas de laboratorio. En esta asignatura se refuerza y amplían las técnica utilizadas con la realización de gran cantidad de experimentos.

Las prácticas han sido seleccionadas para realizar diversas operaciones básicas del laboratorio de química, así como aprender la toma de datos y el análisis de los mismos.  Se pretende enseñar al estudiante la elaboración de una libreta de laboratorio. De este modo, se estimula el análisis de los resultados, la discusión de las discrepancias entre lo esperado y lo observado, la aplicabilidad de las leyes teóricas en los experimentos realizados.

 El trabajo en el laboratorio permite reforzar y afianzar contenidos y conceptos teóricos básicos correspondientes a la asignatura de Química I. Además tiene continuidad con la asignatura Operaciones Básicas de Laboratorio II, que se imparte también durante este segundo cuatrimestre.

  • CE37 : Evaluate the risks involved in using chemical substances and laboratory procedures, as well as managing any waste generated correctly.

  • CGUA2 : Express oneself correctly, both orally and in writing, in either of the official languages of the Region of Valencia.
  • CGUA3 : Possess computer skills relevant to the field of study.
