Course context for academic year 2017-18

La geofísica es la ciencia que se encarga del estudio de la Tierra desde el punto de vista de la física. La prospección Geofísica utiliza los métodos geofísicos para el la prospección geológica de la Tierra.

La asignatura Geofísica y prospección Geofísica está relacionada con otras asignaturas de Grado como Física I, Física II, Técnicas Cartográficas.

General Competences (CG)

  • CG2 : Show ability for efficient and effective management/direction: entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, creativity, organisation, planning, control, decision-making and negotiation.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE24 : Know how to apply the basic principles of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics to understanding the Earth and geological processes.
  • CE25 : Gather, represent and analyse data using appropriate, field, laboratory and office techniques.
  • CE27 : Evaluate the problems involved in selecting samples, accuracy, precision and uncertainty when gathering, recording and analysing field and laboratory data.
  • CE29 : Carry out field and laboratory work responsibly and safely, paying adequate attention to risk assessment, access rights, health and safety legislation and environmental impact.
  • CE3 : Identify and characterise the properties of different terrestrial materials using geological methods and their corresponding instrumental techniques.
  • CE36 : Prepare reports and studies dealing with the exploration, research, production, transformation and control of geological and hydrogeological resources.
  • CE38 : Carry out oceanographic and marine geology studies.

 

Generic UA Competences

  • CGUA1 : Acquire the computer knowledge needed for storing, analysing, synthesising and modelling the data required for the degree course.
