Course context for academic year 2014-15
Se trata de la primera asignatura de las correspondientes a la enseñanza de la lengua B, en este caso la lengua alemana, para los futuros traductores de lengua alemana. Se considera prerrequisito para el buen funcionamiento del curso que el alumno comience con un nivel en lengua alemana correspondiente al A2 conforme al marco común europeo de referencia para las lenguas.

General Competences (CG)
- CG1 : Ability to communicate in the different working languages: languages A (Catalan/Spanish, Level C2 of the European framework), languages B (Level B2/C1), languages C (Level B1/B2 for languages that are taught in secondary education and Level A2/B1 for those not taught in secondary education) and languages D (Level A1/A2). Ability to communicate (oral and written) is understood to refer to understanding and expression and includes grammatical subcompetence (mastery of the linguistic code), sociolinguistic subcompetence (regulates adaptation to the context and is linked with the linguistic variation occurring according the different register elements), pragmatic subcompetence (related to functional use of the language and mastery of discourse, cohesion and coherence). Communicative competence must include at least two languages and cultures (includes passive and active communication stages, as well as the textual conventions of different working cultures and the corresponding cultural, encyclopaedic and thematic knowledge).
- CG2 : Instrumental competence. Includes the use of documentary sources, terminology search and the management of glossaries, databases, etc., and also the use of the most useful computer applications for exercising the profession (text editors, desktop publishers, databases, Internet, e-mail, translation and editing programmes, translation memories, etc.), as well as other tools such as the fax, dictaphone and the mechanisms and apparatus needed for interpreting booths, etc.).
- CG3 : Competence to exercise the profession on the labour and deontological market, consisting of the knowledge and skills related to acting as a professional translator and the job market. Includes basic knowledge for managing one's professional practice and factors associated with public and private law, the economy and business (contracts, tax obligations, budgets, financial aspects, invoicing, etc.) and with the deontological code and professional associations. Also such skills as memory, reflexes, creativity, capacities such as trustworthiness, attention span, organisation and planning, memory, capacity for analysis and synthesis, automation of the most common tasks, decision-making, interest in a job well done and a professional approach, the ability to adapt to new situations, initiative, etc. In addition, interpersonal skills such as the ability to relate with others and professional teamwork, not only with other translators and professionals in the field (proof-readers, documentalists, terminologists), but also with clients, initiators, authors, users and experts in the subjects being translated, etc.

- CE1.1 : Understand all kinds of texts (oral and written), both general and specialised (languages A, B and C), in the corresponding working language.

- CE1.15 : Evaluate multilingual and cultural diversity positively.
- CE1.2 : Express oneself orally and in writing about general and specialist subjects (languages A, B and C).
- CE1.3 : Analyse the textual parameters of all kinds of general or specialist text (languages A, B and C).
- CE1.5 : Synthesise the information from documents of several types of text.
- CE1.6 : Produce oral and written texts adapted to the communication function, type of register, etc.

OBJETIVOS GENERALES
1. Adquirir la capacidad de comunicarse oralmente y por escrito en lengua B en un nivel equivalente al B1 del marco común europeo de referencia para las lenguas.
2. Potenciar la competencia gramatical, la competencia sociolingüística y la competencia pragmática.
OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS:
1. Dominar el código lingüístico (verbal y no verbal), con conocimientos relativos al vocabulario, la formación de palabras y frases, la pronunciación, la ortografía y la semántica.
2. En el apartado de competencia sociolingüística, aprender las reglas de comprensión y producción de enunciados en asociación con el contexto sociolingüístico en el que son producidos, dependientes de factores como los participantes, los propósitos de la interacción, las normas, las convenciones, etc. Se regula así la adecuación al contexto y se aprende la variación lingüística que se produce según los diversos elementos de registro.
3. Adquirir una competencia pragmática, relacionada con el uso funcional de la lengua (entendida como actos de habla) en el proceso de intercambios comunicativos, así como el dominio del discurso, la cohesión y la coherencia.
4. Entender las diferentes tipologías textuales, así como los registros lingüísticos.
5. Adquirir un vocabulario adecuado al nivel exigido.
6. Ser capaz de expresarse oralmente o por escrito sobre temas de carácter general o especializado en el nivel indicado en los temas a tratar.
7. Producir textos orales y escritos adecuados a la función comunicativa, al tipo de registro, etc., y analizar los parámetros textuales de cualquier tipo de textos de carácter general o especializado en el nivel correspondiente a un BI según los estándares establecidos en el marco común europeo de referencia para las lenguas.
8. Ser capaz de producir textos de diferentes tipos y géneros, adaptados al nivel requerido.
9. Pronunciar y entonar correctamente.
10. Expresar las ideas con claridad y desarrollar los conocimientos lingüísticos a partir de los elementos de contraste.
11. Entrar en contacto con las fuentes de documentación de la lengua C, especialmente con obras relacionadas con la lengua (diccionarios, glosarios, gramáticas, etc)
12. Ser capaz de aprender con autonomía
13. Potenciar las estrategias de lectura, escritura y comunicativas.
14. Introducir al alumno en la profesión de traductor, para que éste sea competente para el ejercicio de la profesión.
15. Trabajar en equipo
16. Gestionar la información.
17. Adquirir una competencia psicofisiológica o interpersonal constituida por habilidades como la memoria, los reflejos, la creatividad, etc., capacidad de atención, organización y planificación, de análisis y síntesis, de automatización de las tareas más habituales, la toma de decisiones, el interés por el trabajo bien hecho y la profesionalidad.
