Course context for academic year 2010-11

Lengua y cultura gallegas I posee la consideración de materia básica (idioma moderno) que se ubica dentro del título de grado en Filología Catalana y también en el módulo interdisciplinar, de manera que permite al alumnado conocer y analizar la realidad lingüística y cultural de Galicia como parte de su formación como profesionales polivalentes con competencias diversas. Esta asignatura tiene como finalidad el aprendizaje del gallego, lengua cooficial y minorizada en el territorio que ocupa, como es el caso de otros idiomas en Europa. Por su afinidad con la situación de la Comunidad Valenciana, el alumnado puede establecer asociaciones con diversos elementos sociolingüísticos comunes.Las posibilidades formativas que ofrece el cursar esta materia son la continuación del aprendizaje dentro de nuestras aulas universitarias con la asignatura Lengua y cultura gallegas II o fuera a través de becas en cursos de verano celebrados en instituciones gallegas (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Universidade de Vigo, Universidade da Coruña). Existe la opción de realizar en la propia Universidad de Alicante los exámenes oficiales de la Xunta de Galicia, los cuales acreditan a través de los certificados correspondientes (certificado de lengua gallega, CELGA) el dominio efectivo de la lengua gallega en los ámbitos oral y escrito, indispensable para incorporarse a los diferentes cuerpos del funcionariado autonómico de Galicia. La correspondencia con los niveles del Marco común europeo de referencia para las lenguas (MCER) del Consejo de Europa y de ALTE (Association of Language Testers of Europe) determina que la obtención de un certificado oficial CELGA 2 es equivalente a la superación de un modelo de prueba de conocimiento de lengua de nivel B1.

DEGREE IN ARABIC & ISLAMIC STUDIES

  • CGUA1 : Be able to communicate in a foreign language other than Arabic in one's discipline.
  • CGUA3 : Be able to express oneself correctly in one of the two official languages of the Region of Valencia in one's discipline.

General Competences acquired at University of Alicante (CGUA)

  • CGUA1 : Capacity to communicate in a second language in communicative situations (oral and written), with students acquiring a level equivalent to B1 of the common European framework of reference.
  • CGUA2 : Ability to use basic ICT tools at user level.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE1 : Capacity to communicate in the Catalan language in communicative situations (oral and written), allowing fluid communication in the professional and academic areas in which the student will be working in the future, taking into account his/her knowledge of the historical, social, cultural and artistic reality of his/her context.
  • CE10 : Capacity to use the pertinent resources and materials for self-learning (bibliographies, dictionaries, reference works, terminological works, tutorials, new technologies) and transmit the information in the Catalan language.
  • CE11 : Be able to develop reading, analysis and synthesis techniques, formulate working hypotheses, demonstrate them with arguments and reach conclusions, as well as recognise and ensure the textual coherence (structure of the text, organisation of ideas, progression of information, use of keywords), to explain and argue any subject related to Catalan language and literature, thus achieving the role of expert, transmitter and adviser regarding the knowledge acquired.
  • CE12 : Capacity to understand, value and take advantage of multilingualism with an attitude favouring the standardisation of Catalan, to participate in cultural and linguistic diversity, as well as promoting it to ensure the better social development of the language.

 

DEGREE IN FRENCH STUDIES

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE11 : Capacity to use pertinent resources and materials: bibliographic repertories, reference works and the new ICTs as an autonomous learner able to control the learning process and progress independently in it.
  • CE12 : Capacity to respect, value and take advantage of multilingualism and multiculturalism as a social agent participating in building a plural and tolerant society on the basis of the multicultural configuration of the Francophone world.
  • CE13 : Understand one of the second languages offered on the degree course.

 

Generic Degree Course Competences

  • CG10 : Capacity for self-criticism that enhances one's concern for quality and continuous improvement.

Adquirir un nivel de competencia lingüística B1.1 en la lengua gallega según el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia (MCER). Afianzar las habilidades para comunicar de manera eficaz en la lengua gallega, a través del trabajo en todas las destrezas. Desarrollar el autoaprendizaje a través de las TIC.
