Course context for academic year 2017-18

Aquesta assignatura pretén augmentar la competència lingüística i comunicativa en català, especialment a l'àmbit d'ús acadèmic. Això implica el domini de la varietat estàndard en àmbits formals i acadèmics i la producció i l’anàlisi reflexiva i crítica de diferents tipus de textos i gèneres, tant orals com escrits (especialment acadèmics). Bàsicament, l'alumnat aprendrà a redactar i analitzar textos acadèmics escrits, a més de produir textos acadèmics orals. És, per tant, una assignatura eminentment pràctica que implica un progrés continuat de l'alumnat a través de les activitats proposades; per això, l'assistència a classe esdevé essencial.

És una assignatura de primer curs (3 crèdits teòrics i 3 crèdits pràctics), oferida als estudiants de primer o segon d’altres graus de llengua i literatura de la Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres diferents de Filologia Catalana, com també el primer curs del grau d'Humanitats.

Aquesta assignatura proveeix una formació bàsica i fonamental per a les futures tasques professionals en què el català estiga involucrat (docència, traducció, assessorament lingüístic i literari, planificació lingüística, etc.).

Forma part de l’itinerari de la Menció en Filologia Catalana dels estudis de llengües i literatures de la Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres.

DEGREE IN HUMANITIES

 

General Competences (CG)

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE5 : Assess and interpret the cultural diversity of the Region of Valencia, contrasting the indigenous cultures of the region with other cultures with which relations and contacts are established, using the official languages as the vehicles for interaction.
  • CE8 : Acquire skills to prepare and display content related to the human and social sciences for dissemination and for educating secondary school children, using personal skills and ICT.

 

DEGREE IN ARABIC & ISLAMIC STUDIES

  • CG1 : Ability to gather and manage information that allows life-long learning.
  • CG10 : Relate Arabic Studies with Philology and other disciplines, as well as work in interdisciplinary teams in national and international contexts.

  • CE1 : Understand the key theories of the disciplines associated with Arab and Islamic Studies and apply them in practice to be able to operate appropriately in the different professional profiles accessible through the degree qualification or undertake further studies with a high level of autonomy.
  • CE5 : Capacity to interpret, produce and develop academic descriptions and arguments and/or technical reports related to the professional contexts that can be accessed with the degree qualification.

 

Transversal Competences

  • CGUA2 : Be able to use basic ICT tools at user level.
  • CGUA3 : Be able to express oneself correctly in one of the two official languages of the Region of Valencia in one's discipline.

 

DEGREE IN FRENCH STUDIES

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • CE11 : Capacity to use pertinent resources and materials: bibliographic repertories, reference works and the new ICTs as an autonomous learner able to control the learning process and progress independently in it.
  • CE12 : Capacity to respect, value and take advantage of multilingualism and multiculturalism as a social agent participating in building a plural and tolerant society on the basis of the multicultural configuration of the Francophone world.
  • CE2 : Capacity to reflect on and describe the particular, unique and exclusive linguistic characteristics of French, as well as those it has in common with other languages, especially those of the Region of Valencia, and apply said knowledge to the analysis, understanding and production of French in oral and written forms.

 

Generic Degree Course Competences

  • CG10 : Capacity for self-criticism that enhances one's concern for quality and continuous improvement.

DEGREE IN SPANISH: LANGUAGE AND LITERATURES

  • CG2 : Capacity to understand the role of language in the construction of human beings as active members of linguistic and cultural communities and relate it to the function of individuals in society.
  • CG3 : Be able to develop reading, analysis and synthesis techniques.
  • CG4 : Capacity to communicate in the second official language of the Region of Valencia.
